Victims of sex abuse in historic cases are not receiving sufficient justice, paedophiles are serving less time by evading whilst the victim suffers for most of their life. The child will in many cases gradually become so traumatised by the consequences that it will change the personality and character of the child.
This without knowing what they would have become without the horror of abuse embedded into the very core and then hidden within.
Once the abuse is locked away within your own self, the affects on the individual remain, altering the outlook, self worth, confidence and ultimately the personality of the victim.
The child will never know how they might have been as an adult because of the damage to the core of the individual. This is why we call for tougher sentencing for historic sex abuse cases.
