Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary — your recent declaration has reached us.

You have officially informed the European Commission that unless the European Union “immediately and unconditionally” supports Donald Trump’s so-called peace plan, Hungary will block every form of European aid to Ukraine.

Once again, you position yourself as the outlier of Europe — not as a voice for peace, but as a shield for the Kremlin. Your government’s stance does not reflect neutrality. It does not reflect diplomacy.

It reflects alignment with Russia at a time when Ukraine is fighting for its survival against a brutal, unprovoked invasion. While the rest of Europe stands together in defense of sovereignty, freedom, and international law, your actions undermine unity and weaken the collective security of the continent.

Threatening to sabotage European aid for Ukraine unless the EU bows to a foreign political agenda is not statesmanship — it is coercion. It is reckless. It is an attempt to drag Europe into a geopolitical game that serves neither peace nor stability.
